Why visit our place at the Côte d'Azur?

Saint-Paul-en-Forêt at the Côte d'Azur is part of the Pays de Fayence. A commune in the Var, department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in the South of France. Pays de Fayence is a series of "perched villages" overlooking the plain between the southern Alps and the Esterel massif, which borders the sea between Cannes and Saint-Raphaël.

Via the D563 the villages are close to the Route Napoléon (linking Nice to Grenoble through the Alps). The medieval towns are famed for its elevated position and its outstanding views.

Saint-Paul-en-Forêt is the perfect base for exploring the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It is within easy reach of the coastal areas and beaches of the Côte d'Azur such as Fréjus, St-Tropez, Saint-Raphaël and Cannes.

The Lac-de-St Cassien for fishing and water sports, buggy ride, walking and horse riding is at 20 min drive and also Grasse, famous for its perfumeries and Monaco for a day out are pithing reach.

Hiking and cycling are increasingly popular with dedicated trails mostly following the small roads, paths and forested areas. All of these have amazing views but it is advisable to take into consideration the heat of the summer months and perhaps schedule trips in the Spring or Autumn - or at least during the cool of the day.

The Pays de Fayence region has several traditional Provencal villages such as Tourrettes, Seillans (a classified most beautiful village of France) and Callian. These are for sure worth a visit when you are in the area.

The charm of old streets, traditional restaurants and bistros with Provencal flavours really do make the Pays de Fayence a great area to visit and highly popular with tourists. This is also thanks to the climate with long warm summers averaging around 25C and mild temperatures from December until February (around 10C).
